PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ
INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION. CUTTING IS REQUIRED.
ASSISTANCE IS RECOMMENDED.
2. NOTE: It may be necessary to remove/relocate front license plate and license plate bracket. It is not
required, but strongly recommended. If local province or state law requires a license plate, license plate
relocation kits are available and be purchased separately (part #35-0000)
3. Start by removing plastic lower valance from the lower bumper remove the two pushpins one on each side
of the fender well and using a flat tip screwdriver, pry the tabs out from the valance and remove. NOTE: If
the lower valance is to be installed, it will need to be trimmed to fit the Bull Bar.
4. Ounce plastic valance is removed, locate and remove the plastic splash guard, NOTE: Depending on the
model of truck, (Z71 or Offroad Package) your vehicle maybe equipped with a metal cross bar if this is the
case you will need to remove it as well (Fig 1) (this will be reattached after mount brackets are installed)

Select the Driver/left side mounting brackets from the list of parts above, Position Mounting Bracket to the
inside of the frame rail and hold in place, from the outer side of frame check to see if the mounting holes
pass completely threw the frame rails front & rear if the holes do insert (2) 12mm x 100mm Hex Bolts, (2)
12mm flat washers, (2) 12mm Flat Washers, (2) 12mm Lock Washers and (2) 12mm Hex Nuts as shown in
(Fig 2) below. NOTE: Models with Offroad package & Z71 will not have the rear mounting hole
completely passing threw the frame of the vehicle for the mount bracket, (Fig 3) shows oval hole, if this is
the case, partially thread a Plastic Retainer onto the threaded end of a Bolt Tab, once you have assembled
the Plastic Retainer onto the Bolt Tab; insert the Bolt Tab into the factory oval hole on the inner frame rail,
Once the Bolt tab is inserted, hold the Bolt end with one hand and tighten the Plastic Retainer with your
other hand. NOTE: Tighten the Plastic Retainer until it reaches the side rail so it does not fall in (Fig 3A)
shows bolt tab install, move the mounting bracket up and into position and secure it to front frame hole with
(1) 12mm x 100mm Hex Bolt, (2) 12mm flat washers (1) 12mm Lock Washer, (1) 12mm Hex Nut, for the
rear secure to rear bolt tab with (1) 10mm flat washer (1) 10mm lock washer & (1) 10mm nut as shown in
(Fig 3B) Snug but do not tighten hardware.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 for Passenger/right mounting bracket. Snug but do not tighten hardware. Re-attach
the factory cross bar and tighten.
7. With help, position the Bull Bar to the Mounting Brackets, using the included (4) 12mm x 50mm
Hex Head Bolts, (2) 12mm Lock Washers, (2) 12mm Flat Washers, Level and adjust the Bull Bar
and tighten all hardware.
8. Hold the splash guard up to the mounting points. Mark the splash guard where the mount brackets
interfere with the Mounting Brackets double check the location marked to cut, when satisfied with
your marks trim off the access plastic with a utility knife (Fig 4) shows area to trim off.
9. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.
To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to
add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives
that could damage the finish.
For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish.
Mild soap may be used also to clean the Bull Bar.
For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Bull Bar
