INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FRONT BAR PART 9042

1999 ½ to 2004 NISSAN PATHFINDER

PARTS LIST
1- FRONT BAR
2- BOTTOM FRAMES MOUNTING BRACKETS
1- SUPPORT BRACKET
2- ¼ X ¾ SCREWS
2- ¼ HEX NUTS
12- 7/16 FLAT WASHERS
6- 7/16 X 1 ¼ HEX BOLTS
6-7/16 LOCK NUTS

INSTALLING THE MOUNTING BRACKETS
Remove the inside bolt from the tow hook (and bolt beside it) from the splash pan. Set
mount brackets in place and replace bolts semi loose, as you might have to move the
bracket around to align front bar. Note: The mount bracket has a spare hole that could
be used for extra support.

INSTALLING THE FRONT BAR
Line up the three holes on the lower portion of the front bar with the holes on the mount
brackets outer edge. Using 7/16 hardware and washers fasten bar to the mounting
brackets. After the front bar is attached to the mounting brackets, align the bar to the
bumper. Once satisfied with alignment tighten all bolts securely.

INSTALLING THE SUPPORT BRACKET
Remove the license plate bracket screws, but do not discard screws, as they will be
required for installation. Using the screws that held the license plate bracket and the ¼
screws provided attach the support bracket (between the bumper and license plate
bracket as show below). Tighten all fasteners.
