IMPORTANT: Before you thread the 10mm x 40mm Hex Bolt up into the Nut Plate, make sure to check the length of the bolt. The bolt should measure no more than 40mm (1-9/16”) from the bottom of the head to the end of the bolt. If the bolt is longer than 40mm (1-9/16”), do not use and contact your local retailer. Do not attempt to install the bolt if it is longer than 40mm (1-9/16”), doing so will cause damage to the radiator. Use the 10mm x 30mm OD Large Flat Washers to prevent Hex Bolt from coming in contact with radiator, (Figure 2).

3. Select the driver side Frame Mounting Bracket and insert it into position above the cross member. Line up the rear mounting hole with the factory hole in the frame and temporarily bolt the Bracket into position with the included (1) 10mm x 25mm Hex Bolt, (2) 10mm x 20mm Flat Washers and (1) 10mm Nylon Lock Nut, (Figure 1). Do not tighten hardware at this time. Line up the forward hole with the hole in the lower radiator core support. Insert the (1) 10mm Nut plate in from behind the cross member and line up the threaded hole with the hole in the cross member. Bolt the Bracket to the cross member with the included (1) 10mm x 40mm Hex Bolt, (1) 10mm x 30mm OD Large Flat Washer and (1) 10mm Lock Washer, (Figure 2). position and mark the areas on the splash guard that must be removed to clear the (2) Frame Mounting Brackets, (Figure 3). For a proper fit and to maintain strength, make several small cuts and only remove enough material to clear the Brackets. Once the splash guard has been modified and the fit checked for clearance with the Brackets, (Figure 4), remove the (2) Brackets and reinstall the splash guard. NOTE: Do not install the two rear fasteners pictured in Figure 3.
5. Slide the Driver Side Mounting Bracket through the slot cut in the middle of the splash guard and position the Bracket up to the front mounting location. Bolt the Bracket in position as described in Step
3. Repeat this step for passenger side Mounting Bracket installation. Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time.
6. Select the driver side Top Bracket and slide it through the opening in the factory grille, (Figure 5).
7. Bolt the Top Bracket to the existing hole on the top radiator support with the included (1) 8mm x 25mm
Hex Bolt, (2) 8mm Flat Washers and (1) 8mm Nylon Lock Nut, (Figure 5). Do not tighten hardware at this time. Repeat this step for driver side Top Bracket installation.
8. With assistance, position the Grille Guard up to the inside of the Mounting Brackets. Attach the Grille Guard to the Mounting Brackets with the included (4) 12mm x 30mm Hex Bolts, (8) 12mm Flat Washers and (4) 12mm Nylon Lock Nuts, (Figure 6). Do not tighten hardware at this time.
