It is attached with two bolts to a nut plate inside the frame rail (by removing the front mounting bolt and only loosen the rear bolt you will be able to control the nut plate from moving). Remove tow hook and place the Passenger/Right side frame mounting bracket up to the bottom of the frame along with the hook. Insert the Front factory bolt through the tow hook, and mounting bracket, securing them to nut plate hand tighten. Now remove the rear bolt, so you can slide the mounting bracket and tow hook over, reattach rear bolt through the tow hook and mounting bracket then back into the nut plate. (Fig 1 shows bracket & tow hook attached). Keep snug, but do not tighten hardware at this time. Repeat this step for the driver/left side installation
4. NOTE: (Without Tow Hooks) If vehicle does not come with factory tow hooks the 3063 mounting kit does come with the necessary hardware. Place the (2) 12mm x 25mm hex bolts, (2) 12mm x 30mm OD flat washers, in from the front of frame and drop them through the factory holes. Select and place the Passenger/Right side Mounting bracket up to the frame, attaching to frame with (2) 12mm x 44mm OD" flat washers (2) 12mm lock washers and (2) 12mm nuts. (Fig 1A) shows bracket attached. Keep snug but do not tighten hardware at this time. Repeat this step for the driver/left side installation
5. Proceed by opening the hood on the vehicle and locate the cross member behind the bumper cover. Locate the holes in the cross member for the Bolt Plate to secure the Passenger/Right side Brace Bracket (Fig 2 & 2A show hole location). Begin to inser t (1) 12mm x 45mm Bolt Plate and (1)12mm x 30 OD Flat Washer into each hole in the cross member behind the Passenger/Right side of the bumper. Place the Passenger/Right side Brace Bracket onto the threaded ends of the Bolt Plates and secure them with (2) 12mm x 30mm Flat Washer, (2) 12mm Lock Washer and (2) 12mm Hex Nut. (Fig 3 shows bracket attached). Keep snug but do not tighten hardware at this time. Repeat this step for the driver/left side installation
6. Additional assistance is necessary to install Grille Guard. Move the Passenger/Right side and Driver/Left side Frame Mounting Brackets in as far as possible, and loosen hardware slightly if necessary. Position the bottom on the Grille Guard up to the Outer side of the Passenger/Right side Mounting Bracket and line up the lower rear hole in the Frame Mounting Bracket with the lower rear hole in the Grille Guard, Insert (1) 12mm x 30mm Hex Bolt , (1) 12mm Flat Washers and (1) 12mm Plastic Washer between the Mounting Bracket and the Grille Guard and bolt together with the included (1) 12mm lock Washer, (1) 12mm Flat Washers and (1) 12mm Hex Nut, .
