PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.
2. Starting at the Driver/Left side-front of the vehicle, remove the front factory body bolt & washer.
From the list above select the Driver/Left side front mounting bracket and secure to vehicle with factory bolts. As seen in (Illustration 1) Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time.
3. Next, on the inside of the rocker panel locate and remove the rubber push cap, Begin to install the bolt plate and the plastic retainer, thread the plastic retainer on the threads of the bolt plate place the bolt plate into the hole and tighten the plastic retainer against the rocker panel so the bolt does not fall in. (Illustration 2)shows bolt plate attached to rocker panel
4. With the Bolt plate installed select the Driver/left side middle brace bracket and secure it to the bolt plate with (1) 10mm flat washer, (1) 10mm lock washer and (1) 10mm nut (Illustration 2) shows bracket attached. Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time
5. Moving to the Driver/left side rear of the vehicle, remove the rear factory body bolt, from the list above select the Driver/left side rear mounting bracket and secure it with factory bolts
(Illustration 1) Shows bracket attached. Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time.
6. Select the Driver/left side Sidebar and fasten to the front mounting bracket with the included
(1) 12mm x 50mm hex bolt, (1) 12mm lock washer, and (1) 12mm flat washer. (Illustration 1) Shows bracket attached. Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time.
7. Install rear of Sidebar to the rear mounting bracket with (1) 12mm x 50mm hex bolt, (1) 12mm lock washer, and (1) 12mm flat washer. (Illustration 1) Shows bracket attached. Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time.
8. With the sidebar attached secure the middle brace bracket to bottom of the sidebar with (1) 10mm flat washer, (1) 10mm lock washer and (1) 10mm Hex bolt (Illustration 2) shows bracket attached. Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time
9. Level and align Sidebar properly; then tighten all hardware at this time.
10. Repeat steps 2-9 for Driver/left sidebar.
11. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure all hardware is secure and tight.
To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to
add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild soap may be used also to clean the Sidebar. For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Sidebar.
