PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.
2. Starting on the driver side of the vehicle, through bumper intake locate the three factory holes in the bottom of the
radiator support and insert one of the 12mm Double Nut Plates trough the inside square hole and oriented to small round hole (Figure 1).
3. Partially hang driver side Mounting Bracket to already inserted Double Nut Plate by using the included (2) 10mm x 35mm Hex Head Bolts, (2) 10mm Flat Washer, and (2) 10mm Lock Washer (Figure 2). Do not tighten at this time.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for passenger side.
5. Open the hood and locate the six plastic fasteners ac ross the top of the factory grille shell and remove them (Figure 3). Once you have removed the plastic fasteners from vehicle, slowly pull on the factory grille shell towards the front of the vehicle until bottom clips are disengaged then remove grille shell from vehicle.
6. Slightly pull down on the rubber shroud located on the passenger lower part of the radiator to expose the two factory bolts located behind the radiator metal lines. Remove the bottom factory bolt (Figure 4).
7. With the 90˚ degrees bend towards the rear, attach Top Bracket to previously removed bolt location using the factory bolt. NOTE: Place Top Bracket behind radiator metal lines. Do not tighten at this time (Figure 5).
8. Locate the rubber shroud on the driver side of the radiator and pull it to the side to expose the two factory bolts by the radiator hose. Remove the bottom factory bolt (Figure 6).
9. NOTE: The driver side rubber shroud requires some cutting. With the 90˚ degrees bend towards the rea r, place
the Top Bracket over rubber shroud and align hole in the Top Bracket with previously removed bolt location. Mark the width and thickness of the Top Bracket on the rubber shroud right by the bend on the Top Bracket (Figure 7).
10. Use a cardboard knife to cut out the marked location. Once you have a gap in the rubber shroud, insert Top Bracket through gap and attach it to previously removed bolt location and attach it using the factory bolt. Do not tighten at this time (Figure 8 & 9).
11. Once both Top Brackets are loosely attached to the vehicle, position grille shell back to the vehicle. NOTE: Engage the bottom clips at this time. Top Brackets should pass through second from the outside grille inserts of the outer air intakes (Figure 10).
12. With help position the Grille Guard on the inside of Mounting Brackets. Use the included (6) 12mm x 35mm Hex
Head Bolts, (6) 12mm Lock Washers, (6) 12mm Hex Nuts, and (12) 12mm Flat Washers to attach the G rille Guard to Mounting Brackets
13. Attach Grille Guard to Top Brackets using the included (2) 10mm x 30mm Button Bolts, (2) 10mm Lock Washers, (2) 10mm Hex Nuts, and (2) 10mm Flat Washers (Figure 12).
14. Adjust the Grille Guard properly, and then tighten all hardware at this time.
15. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.
To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild soap may be
used also to clean the Grille Guard.
For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Grille Guard.
(Figure 11). Do not tighten at this time.
