Not cleaning RAMs and voltage regulators thoroughly with an
eraser leads to no adhesiveness of the thermal adhesive at all.

Do not fasten the screws completely in
one step. Fasten each screw alternately
(screw A -> D -> B -> C) with 1 to 2
clockwise rotations. Repeat until all 4
screws are tightened.
Thermal Compound
The thermal compound is already pre-applied to the heatsink. If the cooler has to be installed a second time, we highly recommend using the ARCTIC MX-3 or the ARCTIC MX-4 from ARCTIC. Only our compound guarantees
optimal performance in combination with the surface of our heatsinks.
