ARAGON 4T2 AM/FM TUNER OWNER'S INFORMATION
Please read this manual. Upon completion you will understand the set-up and operation of your 4T2 tuner:
CONNECTIONS FM - Your Aragon 4T2 tuner contains the MA GIC (Mondial Antenna Ground Isolation Circuit)
-patent pending. This will allow you to connect your tuner to either cable TV /FM or to an outdoor antenna without any ground induced noise. In addition, it will also serve to protect
your system from lightning damage or build up of static electricity without any signal loss. The FM antenna is connected via the gold plated F-type connector on the rear panel. If you are using the "folded dipole" antenna, first connect the dipole to the 300-750hm balun matching transformer (supplied) and then connect the balun to the FM input.
AM - An AM loop antenna is supplied with the 4T2. Simply attach it to the bracket located on
the rear panel and connect it to the binding posts marked ANT and GND.
Audio - the 4T2 should be connected to your preamp/receiver using any high quality audio
interconnect cable.
AC - the 4T2 should be connected to a 3 prong wall outlet.
OPERATION OF THE 4T2
1. Power - Push to turn on, again to turn off
2. AM/FM - Press to select AM or FM signal band
3. Tuning - Press the right side to tune up the broadcast band, press the left side to tune down.
4. Seek - This button selects the mode of the tuning button. When the Seek button is pressed the tuner will advance to the next available station, each time the tuning button is pressed.
When Seek is off, the tuner wi/I advance in 200 KHZ (10KHZ-AM) steps.
5. Distant - When the Distant button is pressed, the tuner wi/I switch to mono as well as disengage the muting circuit, allowing more distant or weak signals to be received with lower
background noise.
6. 9-16 - The 4T2 allows the pre-programming of a total of 16 AM or FM stations. You may
program any combination of AM or FM stations totaling 16. To access the second bank of presets, simply press the 9-16 button.
7. Memory - This button activates the memory function for the presets (1-8, and 9-16) of the tuner. Simply choose the channel mode (1-8 or 9-16) using the 9-16 button. Then choose either
AM or FM. Set the tuner to the desired station and press the memory button. The Memory light
wi/I light on the frequency display. During the time it is lit press the channel selector button you wish to program. The 4T2 wi/I automatically switch between AM or FM, based upon the preset
station buttons you choose.
