We, Applied Energy Products Ltd., guarantee that should this heater prove to be
defective by reason of faulty workmanship or material within 12 months (outside of
the UK please contact your local distributor) of the date of purchase, we will replace
the defective parts FREE OF CHARGE on condition that :-

(a) The appliance has been correctly installed and used only on the supply circuit

or voltage printed on the rating plate.

(b) The appliance has been used in accordance with these instructions and has not

been tampered with or otherwise subject to misuse, neglect or accident.

(c) The appliance has not been taken apart, modified or repaired except by a

person authorised by us.

(d) EVIDENCE of the date of purchase in the form of an invoice, receipt (or hire

purchase document) is included with the appliance if returned under
guarantee.

TUBULAR HEATERS

Installation

This heater is designed for floor or wall fixing and should not be used free standing.
It must be used horizontally.

Choose a position that allows free air circulation around the heater with no obstruction,
for example curtains, or overheating will result.

Mounting

Fix the brackets at least 250mm from the floor and at least
200mm below any shelves or surfaces above.
The brackets should be approximately 200mm closer
together than the length of the heater.
(100mm in the case of the smallest 60-55 Watt model).

The heater can now be fitted to the brackets by adding the
clamps and screws.

Electrical connections

WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
DO NOT INSTALL THE SUNTUBE DIRECTLY BELOW A SOCKET OUTLET

Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the
wiring regulations.
If a mains supply is not already available, then install a 13 Amp fused double pole isolating
switch adjacent to where the unit will be fixed.

The heater is provided with 0.9m of three core flexible cable already attached, for
connection to the isolating switch.
If the isolating switch is more than 0.9m from the heater then an appropriate wall mounted
junction box will be required to extend the supply cable.

Banking Heaters

This heater can be banked in pairs, and a joining kit with a connecting tube and link wires
is available.

Maintenance

The Tubular Heater needs no particular attention. Use a soft duster occasionally,
but do not use an abrasive cleaner as this could damage the painted surface.

Important Safety Points

THE HEATER MUST NOT BE USED FREE STANDING

This heater is intended to give frost protection and general background warmth.
It is not intended for general room heating.

The surface of the heater is hot, and where there is a possibility of accidental body
contact or clothing may touch it, a suitable guard should be fitted.

This heater should not be used in nurseries or other places where there are young
children, elderly or infirm persons, without supervision.

The internal heating element is protected with a small coating of oil.
During the first few minutes of use, a new unit might emit a slight smell and visible fumes
as this oil is burnt off.

DO NOT COVER THE HEATER

What to do if things go wrong

• Check the appliance is switched on.

• Check the fuse in the switched fused isolator.

• Should the heater still fail to work, please contact our Technical Advisory Service.

I mezzi per la sconnessione devono essere compresi nei collegamenti fissi in conformità

Se un rifornimento delle condutture non è già disponibile, quindi installi un doppio palo
fuso 13 ampère che isola l'interruttore adiacente a dove l'unità sarà fissa.

Il riscaldatore è fornito di 0.9m di un cavo flessibile di tre nuclei già fissato, per
collegamento all'interruttore d'isolamento
Se l'interruttore d'isolamento è più di 0.9m dal riscaldatore allora una scatola di giunzione
montata parete adatta saranno richiesti per estendere il cavo del rifornimento.

Manutenzione

Il riscaldatore tubolare non ha bisogno di particolare attenzione. Utilizzi occasionalmente
uno spolveratore molle, ma non usi un pulitore abrasivo poichè questo potrebbe
danneggiare la superficie verniciata.

Punti Importanti Di Sicurezza

RISCALDATORI TUBOLARI

Installazione

Questo riscaldatore è progettato per il pavimento o la parete che ripara e non dovrebbe
essere condizione libera usata.
Deve essere usato orizzontalmente.

Scelga una posizione che permette la circolazione di aria libera intorno al riscaldatore senza
l'ostruzione, per esempio le tenda, o surriscaldarsi risulteranno.

Montaggio (veda fig.1)

Ripari le staffe almeno 250mm dal pavimento ed almeno 200mm sotto tutte le mensole o
superfici qui sopra.
Le staffe dovrebbero essere circa 200mm più vicini insieme che la lunghezza del
riscaldatore.
(100mm nel caso di più piccolo modello di watt 60-55).

Il riscaldatore può ora misura alle staffe aggiungendo i morsetti e le viti.

IL RISCALDATORE NON DEVE ESSERE CONDIZIONE LIBERA USATA

Questo riscaldatore è inteso per dare la protezione antigelo ed il calore generale della
priorità bassa.
Non è inteso per calore generale della stanza.

La superficie del riscaldatore è calda e dove ci è una possibilità di contatto accidentale del
corpo o i vestiti possono toccarli, una protezione adatta dovrebbe misura.

Questo riscaldatore non dovrebbe essere utilizzato in scuole materne o in altri posti in cui ci
sono persone anziane o inferme in giovane età dei bambini, senza controllo.

L'elemento riscaldante interno è protetto con un piccolo rivestimento dell'olio.
Durante i minuti primissimi di uso, una nuova unità potrebbe emettere un odore leggero ed
i vapori visibili mentre questo olio è bruciato fuori.

AVVERTIMENTO - PER EVITARE DI SURRISCALDARSI,
NON COPRA IL RISCALDATORE

Che cosa da fare se le cose vanno male

• Controlli l'apparecchio è inserito.

• Controlli il fusibile nell'isolante fuso commutato.
