Applications

• Classied areas where ignitable gases and vapors, dusts,

paint residue, paint powder, or corrosive atmospheres may be
present, or where excessive moisture is a problem.

• Approved for using directly inside a paint-spray booth.
Complies with NEC 516-3(c) and NFPA No. 33.

• Typical applications include aircraft manufacturing and

maintenance facilities, reneries, chemical and petrochemical

plants, textile mills, grain elevators and other grain-processing
facilities, pharmaceutical plants, paint-spray areas, and where

the permanent mounting of a xture is not practical.

• UL approved for horizontal use only.

Features

• Factory sealed xture. No external seals needed for
classied areas.

• Compact size. Uses two or four single-ended biaxial 40 W

uorescent lamps in a portable xture. (2 lamp cart overall

length is 978 mm (38-1/2 in), 4 lamp cart overall length is 1575
mm (62 in)).

• Gasketed end caps remove easily for wiring and relamping.

• Teon-coated stainless steel wire guard supplied standard.

• Adjustable aluminum mounting frame allows xtures to pivot at

45° increments in a 180° horizontal plane.

• 50’ of 16-3 SOW cord with nonmetallic explosionproof plug
prewired for 120 V.

• Static discharge wheels.

• Explosionproof, heat-resistant and impact-resistant glass tubes
help protect the lamp.

• Cool-operating uorescent lamps provide excellent color

rendition and high lumen output per watt. Average lamp life is
20,000 hours.

• Corrosion resistant.

• Reectors (optional) are designed for efcient distribution.

Easily installed using only a screwdriver.

• Energy-saving Class P ballasts, with automatic thermally
activated protective device.

• Fixture uses Appleton’s ECP1523 Plug, which is UL Classied

for use with Killark® UGR and Crouse-Hinds® ENR series
receptacles, as well as Appleton’s U-Line receptacles.

max.) aluminum

• Housing hood, frame and optional reectors: heavy gauge

• Wheels: static discharge rubber

• Guard: Teon coated stainless steel
