Safety Instructions
WARNING:
• DO NOT OPEN FIXTURE WHILE IT IS ENERGIZED.
• DO NOT USE FIXTURE ON UN-GROUNDED CIRCUITS. Failure to ground this luminaire can result in an electrical
shock which may be fatal.
CAUTION:
• ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD: Disconnect from power (unplug) before servicing.
• ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD: DISCONNECT luminaire from power source before inspection or repair work
is attempted.
• Failure of the luminaire to operate could result from a break in the power circuit or failure of a component. In this
case, the luminaire is not operational, DO NOT operate.
• Take note of caution labels on product.
• Inspect cord regularly for damage.
• Do not submerge any part of product in liquids.
• Do not hang xture by its electrical cord. Make sure to use the manufacturer’s handle or hanging hole located at
the top of the unit..
• Take care not to drop xture, as damage to the product may result.
• Do not connect other loads such as appliances, space heaters or power tools to the light string.
NOTICE:
• Please read this manual carefully before initial use to make sure the application is in accordance with all
instructions.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock and re, do not exceed string maximum wattage including any additional
string loads. Maximum number of connected luminaires: 100W – 6 units.
• Luminaires are suitable for dry and damp locations, however, make sure to never submerge any part of the xture
in liquids of any kind.
• Disconnect the power to avoid shock when the equipment is wet.
• This device is not intended for use with emergency exits.
• The product should not be installed in extreme heat, sealed environments, or areas with corrosive gases, so as
not to affect the service life.
• This luminaire must be installed, tested and maintained by professionals familiar with all national and local
electrical codes.
• Please inspect the product carefully after opening the package. If damaged, please keep the packaging and
immediately contact your local supplier.

Operating Instructions
1. See Figure 1. Secure portable electric luminaire to ceiling or wall with handle or hanging hole located on top of
the unit. Ensure attachment means can support weight of luminaire (4.2 lb.)

2. Review Figure 2 before installation. Link additional units by opening receptacle access door and connecting
the plug of added luminaire into receptacle of preceding luminaire. Rotate buckle downward to secure molded
plug end. Six 100W units may be connected in series. Keep receptacle access door closed if luminaires are not
connected in series. Do not connect other loads such as appliances, space heaters or power tools to the
light string.

3. Locate a power source to be used for the luminaire. Appleton™ Temporary LED Worksite Lighting is rated for
120V AC 50/60Hz.
4. Connect the luminaire(s) to the power source. NOTE: Always use a grounded outlet.
5. Disconnect power cord from power source to discontinue use.
