650432-000 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR MERCMASTER III LOW PROFILE
WITH QL INDUCTION SYSTEMS
CAUTION : FOR PROPER AND SAFE INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT, READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS.
IMPORTANT :When installing in a Hazardous Location, it is necessary that the Globe be in place, and that the fixture be
tightly closed. Globe and Reflector should be cleaned periodically to maintain lighting efficiency.
CAUTION : This fixture is designed for and should be installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and
the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes.
CAUTION : Do not open or remove Fixture with circuit energized.
CAUTION : Do not use Fixture on ungrounded system.
TO FAILURE GROUND THIS FIXTURE CAN RESULT IN AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK WHICH MAY BE

Secure Pendant Hood to the 3/4" or 1" Conduit Stem, and Tighten the Set
Screw inside Hood.

Secure Cone Hood to the 3/4" or 1" Conduit
Stem, and Tighten the Set Screw.

NOTE - 5 Full Threads Must Be Engaged.
Secure Stanchion to the 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" Conduit,
Orient and Tighten Set Screw.

NOTE - Remove Unused Conduit Plugs, and Re-install with Pipe Sealant
Mount Ceiling Hood Directly to Structural Member,
Conduit, or Flush Mounted Jct Box. Four Drill marks
on 3-1/2" Pitch Dia are Provided for Jct Box Mtg.
Install Gasket Supplied with Jct Box between Box and Hood.

Fasten junction box to structural member.
Feed supply wire through gasket and wall adapter.
Fasten wall adapter to junction box with screws provided.
Gasket supplied with junction box is required between mounting hood and
junction box.

NOT E - 5 Full Threads Must Be Engaged.
Secure Stanchion to the 1-1/4" or 1-1/2"
Conduit, Orient and Tighten Set Screw.

INDUCTION GENERATOR HOUSING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mount Hood to Conduit or Structural Member as shown.
2. Feed proper Temperature Supply Wire into Hood (See Nameplate).
3. Hang Ballast Housing on Hinge and Connect the Power to Proper
QL Unduction generator lead.
(See Wiring Diagrams.)
4. Connect Supply and Housing Bonding Leads to Green Bonding Lead
in Mtg Hood.
5. Fold All Excess Supply Leads and Fasten in Hood with Bundling Tie
Provided to Avoid Pinching Wires.
6. Swing Induction Generator Housing Up and Secure with Hex Nut and
Washer Combination and Tighten Securely.
7. Install Optional Reflector and/or Guard per Fixture Fitting Label in
Induction Generator Housing. (See Accessory Tree.)
