INSTRUCTION SHEET
Caution: Not for residential use. This xture is designed for permanent installation in
ordinary (Non-Hazardous) or wet locations in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. Do not use in areas of limited ventilation or in high ambient enclosures. The lamp and xture operate at high temperatures, contact with combustible material can cause re and personal contact can cause severe burns.
Installation: (Disconnect Electrical Circuit)
1. Remove mounting Unilet located in top of box (unless complete xture is being mounted at this time, only the Unilet need be removed).
2. Screw onto 3/4-14 mounting stem or hanger, align and lock with hex set screw.
3. Loosen screws on Unilet cover and lift off.
4. Select proper voltage wire (multi and dual tap ballast) and insert unused ballast leads back into ballast housing. Cap all unused leads.
5. Slide ballast housing into mounting Unilet and make proper wire connections.
6. Replace Unilet cover and tighten screws.
7. See opposite side for reector installation instruction.
•Note: Inspect all damaged boxes for component damage.
Installation: (Disconnect Electrical Circuit)
1. Remove the cast hanger tting, lock nut, and gasket from box. Be sure to place lock nut (threads down) and gasket over 3/4-14 mounting stem or hanger before screwing hanger tting into place.
2. If xture alignment is desired, tighten the hanger tting until one of three lugs is in the direction the wiring access is desired.
3. Tighten the set screw.
4. Remove the wiring access cover and thread supply wires and appropriate ballast voltage leads out of the opening.
5. Lift the ballast housing over the 3 lug hanger tting and rotate either direction until housing drops into locked position.
6. Screw the lock nut onto the hanger tting and hand tighten.
7. Make proper wiring connections and replace the wiring access cover.
8. See opposite side for reector installation instructions.
Installation: (Disconnect Electrical Circuit)
1. Screw the junction box onto 3/4-14 mounting stem or hanger, align and lock with set screw.
2. Loosen the two screws on the access cover and rotate up.
3. Slide the support bracket into the junction box.
4. Make proper wiring connections. Lower the access cover into place and tighten screws.
5. See opposite side for reector installation instructions.

16" Reector (Baymaster 250/400 & Incandescent) 20" Reector (Baymaster 1000)
Installation Instructions:
1. Orient reector as shown in Figure 1. Insert the “A” end of the hanger spring through the 5/32 diameter hole and rotate end “B” through the slot. Be sure the nger grips are to the outside.
2. Work the hanger springs against the reector lip as shown in Figure 2.
3. To hold the hanger spring in position, slip the “U” clip onto the hanger spring and reector lip as shown in Figure 2.
4. Assemble the reector assembly to the support bracket as shown in Figure 3 by squeezing the nger grips of the hanger spring into the support bracket slots of the desired beam spread. Caution: Use socket shroud and hinged lens assembly (see Appleton catalog for part numbers), to close off reflector when metal halide lamps are used.
22" & 30" Low Bay Reector/Refractor Assembly (Baymaster 250/400)
Installation Instructions:
1. Insert lamp of proper size and wattage (see Appleton name­plate on side of ballast housing for lamp information).
2. Hold the reector/refractor assembly up against the ballast housing.
3. Squeeze the hanger spring nger grips and locate ends of hanger springs in the top most holes of the side mounting anges.
Relamping Instructions: (Caution - Disconnect Electrical Circuit)
1. Squeeze to remove one hanger spring on one side of the reector/refractor assembly from the upper most holes, relocate and release into the lower holes. Be sure hanger spring is fully engaged.
2. Squeeze release the opposite hanger spring and slowly lower the reector assembly until the reector assembly weight is resting on the rst hanger spring.
3. Remove the old lamp, being careful to use protection if lamp is still hot, and replace with lamp of proper size and wattage.
4. Replace the reector assembly be reversing steps 1 and 2.
Quartz Emergency Lamp Installation Instructions:
Insert quartz lamp into socket using the enclosed cover provided with lamp or clean cloth to prevent scratches or fingerprints which may discolor the lamp or lower lamp output.
