Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Apart VINCI4-16.
VINCI4-16 sets new standards in affordable
reference bookshelf speakers. By keeping the
design as simple as possible, we managed to
create a true high end speaker with the highest
value for money. Of course, this is a typical
feature for all products of the Apart brand.
Compact, audiophile, neutral but captivating…
Each component was carefully ear-chosen and
tested. The result is an ultra linear performer,
with great dynamics and stable stereo imaging.
With the optional speaker stand, the speakers
are positioned at ideal listening height. When
properly installed, these speakers will provide
you with many years of listening pleasure. Just sit
back, relax and enjoy.
Please read this manual carefully before using the
product. This will give you the necessary product
and installation instructions to assure a seamless
installation and non-compromised overall sound
quality.
Safety instructions
• Keep this manual for future reference.
• Take care of your speaker wires, they should
be free of damage. Damaged speaker wires
may result in poor sound quality and can
damage amplifiers.
• No main power shall be connected to the
loudspeakers, doing so will damage the
speaker.
• This speaker should only be serviced by
qualified personnel. If not, warranty might
be void.
• Use cables of the right gauge, certainly for
long runs.

• Use cables with clear color indication and
maintain polarity throughout the whole
system.
• Avoid loud feedback from microphones,
this can damage your speaker.
• Please check the unit’s condition after
unpacking. If the outside of the carton
box has been damaged, inform your
shipper immediately.
• For indoor use only. Do not expose the
unit to outdoor weather conditions.
Speaker positioning
Ideally, you should position the speakers
at ear level, but you can also mount
the speakers on the wall or against
the ceiling using our VINCI5 bracket,
available in black and white. For more
info about this bracket, please check our
website. VINCI4-16 is also compatible
with many other commercially available
speaker brackets.
Mounting holes with suitable
inserts are already present at
the back of the speaker. The
mounting holes are spaced 58
mm apart, located horizontally
in the middle of the speaker.
Screw thread is M6, maximum
thread length is 12 mm.
Connecting the speakers
Connect the positive or plus output (red) from
your amplifier to the red connector at the back
of the speaker. Connect the negative or minus
output (black) to the black connector at the back
of the speaker. No need to mention: always use
good quality speaker cable. The speaker terminals
accept speaker wire up to 2.5 mm² and 4 mm
banana connectors.
It is possible to connect up to 4 speakers in
parallel on one amplifier channel, provided that
the amplifier has been designed to handle 4
ohms loads.
Speaker load impedance when connected in
parallel:
1 x 16 ohms = 16 ohms 2 x 16 ohms = 8 ohms
3 x 16 ohms = 5.3 ohms 4 x 16 ohms = 4 ohms
