PREZONE2
STEREO PREAMPLIFIER
The PREZONE2 is a multi-functional stereo preamplifier that
lets users control the audio source and volume in two zones
and employ selective zone paging. Designed for ease of use,
the front panel of the PREZONE2 includes a set of volume,
audio source selection, and microphone controls for each
zone, providing immediate visual feedback regarding system
operation.
The PREZONE2 is equipped with four priority levels for audio routing: one emergency input, one paging
input, two mic inputs, and four stereo inputs. Each output channel is equipped with an independent mono/
stereo switch on the rear panel, and the PREZONE2 also supports control via mobile-friendly web page,
RS-232, or wall panels.
It’s audio performance, ease-of-use, and versatile feature set makes the PREZONE2 ideal for a variety of
professional audio applications.

ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS SPECIFICATIONS
The preamplifier shall provide 1 emergency input that shall be triggered by either contact closure or VOX level. The emergency
input shall support user adjustable volume and VOX activation level via the rear panel. The preamplifier shall provide 1 paging input
connection for receiving microphone or line level analog audio signals via Euroblock connectors. The paging input shall support per
zone volume control via the rear panel. The paging input shall support user adjustable gain and chime level via the rear panel. The
preamplifier shall provide 2 balanced input connections for receiving microphone or line level analog audio signals via either Euroblock
or RCA connectors. Each balanced input shall support user adjustable gain and EQ via the rear panel. The preamplifier shall provide
1 unbalanced input connection for receiving line level analog audio signals via either Euroblock or RCA connectors. The preamplifier
shall provide 3 unbalanced input connections for receiving line level analog audio signals via RCA connectors. Each unbalanced
input shall support user adjustable gain via the rear panel. The preamplifier shall support 4 priority levels of audio transmission.
The preamplifier shall provide 2 balanced output connections for the transmission of line level analog audio signals via Euroblock
connectors. The preamplifier shall provide 2 unbalanced output connections for the transmission of line level analog audio signals via
RCA connectors. Each output channel shall support switchable mono and stereo modes via the rear panel. Each output channel shall
support user adjustable EQ via the rear panel. The preamplifier shall support programmatic control of individual output zones via
Euroblock connectors or RJ-45 connector. The preamplifier shall include a switchable standby mode via the rear panel that reduces
power consumption to less than 1.8 watts. The standby mode shall activate automatically after 10 minutes if no signal is detected. The
standby mode shall be activated/deactivated manually by toggling the standby mode button on the front panel. The preamplifier
shall include a RS-232 connection for control data transmission into or out of the preamplifier and such operation shall be externally
programmable. The preamplifier shall be rack mountable (2RU). The preamplifier shall be CE marked, UL listed, and shall be compliant
with the RoHS directive. Warranty shall be five years. The preamplifier shall be Biamp® PREZONE2.
