A: Supports RAID 0, which is stripping, and RAID 1, which is mirroring.

Q: What is the transfer rate of the data supported on the FastTrak100 Lite?

A: Upto 100MB/s burst data transfer rate.

Q: Is it possible to use drives of different sizes with the FastTrak100 Lite?

A: Yes, but for RAID 1 application it is a must that the new drive that is added is equal or larger than the existing drive.

Q: Is the installation included in the packages complicated?

A: It does not appear too complex, it is assembled with the sole purpose of being simple, and it even provides automated installation by using the FastBuild utility.

Q: What is the status of the array if one of the drives in a mirrored array gets damaged?

A: FastTrak100 Lite can work with only one of the drives and will be able to use an array that is set in a “Critical” state i.e till the damaged drive is added and the array is reconstructed.

Q: Are there any extra drivers necessary for the FastTrak100 Lite?

A: For certain operating systems like Windows, drivers would be necessary but it is not mandatory for DOS and Windows 3.1x.
