Important Safety Information
Before installation and maintenance, ensure that the mains supply to the luminaire is sw itched off and the circuit supply fuses are removed or circuit breaker
turned off.
It is recommended that a qualified electrician is used for the installation of this luminaire and is installed to the current edition of the IEE wiring
regulations and to all relevant standards.
Check that the total load on the circuit including this luminaire does not exceed the rating of the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker.

Exclusions to Warranty
Please Note - The limited warranty shall be null and void in the following circumstances:-
Failure by the installer, end user or any third party to exercise caution to protect any covered product or part from outside damage, adverse temperature (normal
operating ambient temperature 0 - 25°C), humidity conditions, fluctuations in the electrical system or physical abuse as well as failure related to w o rkm anship in the
installation of the products or parts.
Installation
Select a suitable mounting location to install luminaire. Care should be given to ensure adequate ventilation for luminaire. Check that sufficient depth is available
in the ceiling void and there is adequate free air ventilation around the luminaire.
Ensure luminaire is not located in close proximity to ceiling joists, electrical cables, pipe work or insulation materials. Luminaires should not be installed where the
illuminated surface is within 0.5m from the front of the fitting.
Cut a 76mm diameter round hole in the ceiling material. This luminaire is suitable for installation in ceiling material thickness from 10mm to 35mm.
To replace / remove the front bezel twist the bezel clockwise / counter-clockwise until the bezel has located / released.
Remove the 3 pole connector from its seating by rotating counter-clockwise 90
Open the terminal cover to access the terminations inside the housing.
Terminate the 230V supply cable max 2 x 1.5mm loop in – loop out, ensuring the correct polarity is observed. Suitable for loop in / loop out applications.
THIS LUMINAIRE IS CLASS I CONSTRUCTION AND MUST BE EARTHED.
Connect as follows: LIVE (L) BROWN OR RED
Install the caballing to the luminaire and close the terminal.
Insert the 3 pole connector into the corresponding socket, ensuring the connector is fully pushed home.
The Orbio 360 Gimbal is supplied with 2x additional lenses for 15° and 30° additional beam light spread. 15° lens is pre-installed; for 30° beam light
spread, attached the additional supplied lens (Figure 1- Page 2) over the already installed 15°; aligning the arrows on the lenses. The arrow indicates

the light direction; please align before inserting into aperture (then remove adhesive labels). Figure 2 shows available distributions.
Test the luminaires function before insertion into the ceiling void.
The Orbio360 has a rotatable housing which allows ease of install into the ceiling void, Please do not force the rotational action as this may lead to irreparable
damage.
The height of the Orbio360 can be reduced; unhook the upper housing by depressing the detach button located at the side of the fixture.
Offer the luminaire through the aperture, bend back the springs and push gently into the ceiling.
When installing the downlight ensure the fittings are positioned centrally within the cut out.
Do not install the luminaire onto new plaster or wet paint.
Restore power supply, switch on and test for satisfactory operation.
The Orbio360 may be covered loosely with mineral wool insulation, however Ansell always recommend that a provision for ventilation around the
Orbio360 is considered wherever possible.
The terminal housing has an internal PCB designed to provide surge protection and must not be removed. Removal will invalidate the warranty.
The operating frequency of the AC LED is 50Hz. Please check the area is suitable for luminaires with an operating frequency of 50Hz. Please contact
Ansell Technical if more information is required.
