Classic Haas Control - Machine Data Backup (Mill16.xx and higher, and Lathe 9.xx and higher)
Do this procedure to backup all of the machine data files on your machine.
For machines with Mill 15.xx and lower, and Lathe 8.xx and lower, do the Machine Data Backup (Mill 15.xx and lower, and Lathe
8.xx and lower).
To backup only the program files, do the Classic Haas Control - Backup Programs procedure.
You must have a USB drive on the side of the control pendant or in the electrical cabinet to do this procedure.
Prerequisites
To find the software version of your machine, push [PARAMETER] (2) times. Push the [RIGHT] CURSOR arrow until you find the CONFIGURATION tab. The software version is displayed near the top.
STEP 1
Push [SETNG/GRAPH].
Push [PAGE DOWN] until you get to the NETWORK and NETWORK - TCP/IP CONFIGURATION pages.
Record the network settings.
Note: Make sure the customer has a copy of their password, because you cannot read it. Only the characters ****** show.
STEP 2
Put a USB memory device into the USB port on the pendant.
Change Setting 23, 9xxx Progs Edit Lock , to OFF.
For mills with the side-mount tool changer option, change setting 155, Load Pocket Tables , to ON.

If your machine does not have the software listed above, Save All - Back Up does not save the keystroke history file (.KEY). You must also use Save History option to save the file.
Note: Save All - Back Up stops if it tries to save bad data. You must use the other menu items to save each of the unsaved
Machine Data Files. For example, use Save Offsets to save the
offsets.
Conclusion
If your machine loses its data, do these steps to put the data back onto the machine:
1. Call your Haas Factory Outlet to enable your machine options.
2. Push [EMERGENCY STOP].
3. Push [SETTING]. Change setting 7 to OFF.
4. Insert your memory device.
5. Push [LIST PROGRAM]. Push [CANCEL]. Push the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] CURSOR arrows to select the USB
