One ground tube per tie or spring.
Top of ground tube must be flush with top of ground.

Top of stake must not be more than 3/4” above top of ground.

Do not angle pool cover ties or springs down to soil level. Spring or Tie may fl y off. Soil must be built-up to deck of pool level.
Always place stake or ground tube as close to pool deck as possible.

Inspect Site! Caution:
1. Consult your local utility locator service or the National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA) prior to installation.
2. Consult design information on pool for plumb­ing/electrical line placement.

Pavers. Drill 1” diameter hole thru paver for ground tube. Drill 1/2” diameter hole for stake. Top of ground tube must be fl ush w/top of paver. IMPORTANT: Do not install Ground tube in fi rst row of pavers adjacent to pool.

1. For each installation the installer is solely responsible for evaluating the site and determin­ing the proper method and equipment to secure the cover. Some soils require different staking or securing than that provided with the pool cover. Due to this variety of soil conditions, the installer must insure proper anchoring at each anchor point.
2. This instruction sheet must be used along with the pool cover installation instruction manual included with your pool cover.
3. The soil at the installation site of each stake/ ground tube must be capable of allowing the cover to support the minimum loads of ASTM F-1346 after installation.
4. Testing of soil conditions and responsibility for load verifi cation is solely the responsibility of the installer.

DIRECTIONS FOR DRIVING BRASS ANCHOR INTO GROUND TUBE
1. Remove Brass Anchor screw from Brass Anchor.
2. Place Brass Anchor into Counterbored end of Ground Tube.
3. Stand Ground Tube up on Firm Surface.
4. Using a hammer, drive Anchor Setting Tool on Brass Anchor into Ground tube

DIRECTIONS FOR DRIVING BRASS GROUND TUBE INTO GROUND
1. Insert the Anchor Setting Tool down into the Brass Anchor with Screw removed.
2. Pound Ground Tube down into ground until top of Ground Tube and Brass Anchor are fl ush with ground surface.
