AM-12 and AM-16 Chain Tensioner Instructions
In the event that the chain on the AM-12 or AM-16 should come loose or fall off please follow the directions.
Tools needed for this: Phillips head screw driver
1) Using the Phillips head screw driver remove the two screws on the outside of the chain guard that secure it. The
chain guard is a long grey plastic piece on the front of the tryke.
2) Position the foot crank arm in the following position. Refer to picture.
3) Using your figures carefully pull on the bottom of the chain guard cover as
it will come loose.
4) Turn the crank arm (Pedals) 180 degrees until the upper crank arm (hand area) is pointing straight up on the
same side as the chain guard. Chain guard can now be removed from top.
5) Loose Chain. You will see the chain tensioner (see picture) located on each side of the chain tensioner is a
Phillips head screw. Using the Phillips head screw driver loosen the two screws (Do Not Remove) so that the chain
tensioner can be repositioned.
6) Using your hand push the chain tensioner towards the front of the
bike until the chain is tight. While still applying pressure to the tensioner
tighten the two Phillips head screws using the Phillips head screw driver.
Reverse steps 1 thru 4 to reinstall chain guard.
