Standard Surface Contact
Description
The AMS-39 is a UL listed reed magnetic contact
designed for a closed circuit system, and the AMS-39B is
N.O./N.C. loop Form C circuit. The molded white plastic
case is made of UL listed material. The reed switch
meets Military Specifications and is gold plated with
rhodium points. The reed switch is hermetically sealed
and the leads are welded to the internally mounting nut.
The nut has an adhesive that melts to the hard casing.
The nickel cadmium screws have a long drive to reduce
any strain on the reed, thus giving the installer the length
required for binding the Burglar Alarm wire to the switch.
The reed cover is glued and ultrasonically sealed pre-
venting moisture or oxidation from appearing on the con-
tact.
The magnet is made of ferrite material and matches the
overall length of the switch.
The AMS-39 series has an operating gap of 3/4 inch and
its versatility allows the switch to be mounted in various
positions. Properly mounted the switch and magnet will
provide long lasting service.

Industrial Magnetic Contact
Description
The AMS-37 is a UL listed reed switch. The construc-
tion is basically the same as our AMS-39 including all
materials and hardware. It is made in gray only and is
designed for closed circuit systems. The reed switch
itself is 2 inches long and meets all specifications. The
magnet is made of ALNICO 6 and is approximately 3
inches long. The AMS-37 reed magnetic switch is
designed for rugged use and can be installed on any
opening with care. The mounting holes in the case
have been designed so that the head of the screws
become recessed, making a neater installation.
