The Ampex Multiplexer (Mux) Product Line consists o Internal and External configurations.
Both configurations are Demultiplexed via software on a Windows / Linux-based platform on Ampex Model DSRs 410/420 Ground Playback Systems. The Mux products are designed for miniature, rugged, and harsh airborne environmelints. Both units feature IRIG 106 Chapter 10 compliant packetization. The Internal Mux unit is configurable with multiple channels, and uses the custom slot in a DSRs Solid State / Disk Recorder. The External Mux is designed to meet requirements for larger numbers of channels. The multiplexer can be integrated as a logical extension of the DSRs and DDRs Family of Recorders, or as a stand alone unit interfaced to any of the Ampex Instrumentation Recorders (DDRs/DSRs/DCRsi/DIS).
