Your TYackball Controller can be used as either a remote control
device or it can be connected directly to your CDTV Player using the supplied
cable.

USING
YOUR TRACKBALL
CONTROLLER
1
Remove the Trackball Controller from its packaging. Remove the small
panel on the bottom of the unit, insert the two batteries as shown, replace the
bottom panel.

To activate your Trackball Controller press the ON button, located on the
right side of the controller. The Trackball Controller has a special battery-saving
feature which automatically turns the controller off when not in use. To
re-activate the Controller simply press the ON button again.

To connect a joystick(s) to the Trackball Controller plug the joystick cable
into either of the two ports on the front side of the controller marked JOY
CONTROL 1 or JOY CONTROL 2. (Check the instructions that come with
various CDTV titles for more information on which port on the Trackball
Controller to use. Not all CDTV titles support joystick control.) If you are not
certain which port to use, try the JOY CONTROL 2 port first. The controller will
automatically sense when you have joysticks connected to one of the ports.

If you wish to connect your Trackball controller to your CDTV Player using
the supplied cable, simply plug one end of the cable to the port on the left side of
the Trackball Controller, plug the other end of the cable to the port on the back of
the CDTV Player marked with this symbol [ft . When the controller is
connected to the CDTV Player using the supplied cable it will draw its power
directly from your CDTV Player preserving battery life.
NOTE: ONLY USE THE CABLE THAT COMES WITH THE
TRACKBALL CONTROLLER OR AN APPROVED CD1200 TRACKBALL
CONTROLLER CABLE.
Your Trackball Controller buttons function the same way that the buttons on
your CDTV remote controller work. Use the ball in the center of the controller as
you would normally use the arrow keys on the CDTV remote controller. NOTE:
The Power button on your Trackball Controller functions like the power button on
the CDTV remote controller. If you turn off your CDTV Player with the power
button on the Trackball Controller you will have to use the power button on the
Trackball Controller to turn the CDTV player back on again.

TRACKBALL
Sortez le contrôleur Trackball de son emballage. Retirez le petit couvercle
se trouvant à l'arrière de l’appareil, insérez les deux piles comme cela est
indiqué sur la figure, puis remettez en place le couvercle.

Appuyez sur le bouton ON situé sur le côté droit pour mettre en marche le
contrôleur Trackball. Le contrôleur est doté d’un système spécial pour
économiser les piles qui met automatiquement le contrôleur hors tension
lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé. Il faut rappuyer sur le bouton ON pour le mettre de
nouveau en marche.
Si vous désirez connecter une manette de jeu au contrôleur Trackball,
enfichez le câble correspondant dans l’un des deux ports marqués JOY
CONTROL 1 ou JOY CONTROL 2. ( Consultez les instructions fournies
avec les différents titres CDTV pour savoir quel port du contrôleur Trackball
utiliser. Les titres CDTV ne supportent pas tous le contrôle de la manette de
jeu.) Si vous n’êtes pas très sûr du port à utiliser, essayez d’abord le JOY
CONTROL 2. Le contrôleur sait reconnaître automatiquement la connexion
d’une manette de jeu à l’un de ses ports.

Si vous désirez connecter le contrôleur Trackball au lecteur CDTV à l’aide
du câble fourni avec l’appareil, il suffit d’enficher l’une des extrémités du câble
dans le port se trouvant sur la partie gauche du contrôleur Trackball et l’autre
extrémité dans le port marqué du symbole ci situé sur le panneau arrière du
lecteur CDTV. Lorsque le contrôleur est connecté au lecteur CDTV à l’aide du
câble en question, son alimentation provient directement du lecteur CDTV, ce
qui économise les piles.
NOTE: N’UTILISEZ QUE LE CABLE FOURNI AVEC LE
CONTROLEUR TRACKBALL OU UN CABLE HOMOLOGUÉ POUR LE
CONTROLEUR TRACKBALL CD 1200.
Les boutons du contrôleur Trackball fonctionnent de la même façon que
ceux de la télécommande du CDTV. Servez-vous de la boule se trouvant au
centre du contrôleur de la même façon que des touches à flèche de la
télécommande du CVTV.
Note: Le bouton d’alimentation du contrôleur Trackball fonctionne comme
celui du contrôleur de la télécommande du CDTV. Si vous mettez hors tension
le lecteur CDTV au moyen du bouton d’alimentation du contrôleur Trackball,
vous devrez l’utiliser de nouveau pour remettre le lecteur CDTV sous tension.

Istruzioni e Garanzia

Estrarre il Controllore a Sfera dall’imballo. Rimuovere la copertura posta
sul pannello posteriore dell’apparecchio, inseriré le due batterie come indicato e
rimontare la copertura.

Per attivare il Controllore a Sfera premere il pulsante ON posto sul lato
destro dell’apparecchio. Questo Controllore é dotato della prestazione speciale
di risparmio batteria che lo spegne automáticamente quando non utilizzato. Per
riattivarlo premere nuovamente il pulsante ON.

Per collegare la leva di comando (Joystick) al Controllore, collegare
l’apposito cavo ad una delle due porte poste sul lato anteriore dell’apparecchio,
contrassegnate con JO Y CONTROL 1 o JO Y CONTROL 2. (Per ulteriori
informazioni concementi il tipo di porta da utilizzare consultare le istruzioni
formte con ciascun titolo CDTV.) In caso di dubbi, utilizzare prima la porta
JOY CONTROL 2. L’apparecchio rileva automáticamente l’eventuale presenza
di leve di comando collegate alie porte.

Se si desidera collegare il Controllore al CDTV Player mediante il cavo
fomito, inseriré un’estremitä del cavo nella porta posta sul lato sinistro del
Controllore a Sfera ed inseriré l’altra estremitä del cavo nella porta posta sul
pannello posteriore del CDTV Player contrassegnata con il símbolo ö l . Dopo il
collegamento con il CDTV Player mediante il cavo fomito, il Controllore viene
alimentato direttamente dal CDTV Player preservando la carica della batteria.
NOTA: UTILIZZARE SOLTANTO IL CAVO FORNITO IN DOTAZIONE
CON IL CONTROLLORE A SFERA CD 1200 OPPURE UN CAVO
APPROVATO PER QUESTO APPARECCHIO.
La funzione dei pulsanti del Controllore a Sfera corrisponde a quella dei
pulsanti del telecomando CDTV. La sfera del Controllore fomisce le stesse
funzioni dei tasti freccia del telecomando CDTV. NOTA: 11 pulsante di
alimentazione di questo apparecchio ha la stessa funzione del pulsante di
alimentazione posto sul telecomando CDTV. Se si spegné il CDTV Player
mediante il pulsante posto sul Controllore a Sfera occorre riutilizzare lo stesso
pulsante per riaccenderlo.

Packen Sie den Trackball aus. Entfernen Sie die kleine Abdeckung auf der
Oberseite der Einheit und legen Sie die beiden Batterien wie gezeigt ein.
Bringen Sie anschließend die Abdeckung wieder an.

Zum Aktivieren Ihres Trackballs drücken Sie die Taste ON auf der rechten
Seite der Einheit. Der Trackball verfugt über eine Batteriesparfunktion, mit der
die Einheit bei Nichtbenutzung automatisch ausgeschaltet wird. Zum
Reaktivieren der Einheit drücken Sie wieder die Taste ON.

Zum Anschluß von Joysticks an den Trackball schießen Sie das
Joystick-Kabel an eine der beiden Buchsen mit der Kennzeichnung JOY
CONTROL 1 oder JOY CONTROL 2 auf der Frontseite der Einheit an. (Weitere
Informationen zum Anschluß des Trackballs können Sie den Anleitungen
entnehmen, die mit den verschiedenen CDTV-Titeln geliefert werden. Nicht alle
CDTV-Titel unterstützen Joystick-Bedienung.) Wenn Sie nicht sicher sind,
welche Buchse zu benutzen ist, versuchen Sie es zuerst mit der Buchse JOY
CONTROL 2. Die Einheit spricht auf den Anschluß von Joysticks an einer der
Buchsen automatisch an.

Zum Anschluß Ihres Trackballs über das gelieferte Kabel an Ihren
CDTV-Player schließen Sie das eine Ende des Kabels an der Buchse auf der
linken Seite des Trackballs und das andere Ende an der mit beschrifteten Buchse
öl auf der Rückseite des Trackballs an. Bei Anschluß der Einheit über das
gelieferte Kabel an den CDTV-Player erfolgt die Stromversorgung direkt über
Ihren CDTV-Player, und die Batterie wird geschont.
HINWEIS: BENUTZEN SIE AUSSCHLIESSLICH DAS MIT DEM
TRACKBALL GELIEFERTE ODER EIN ZUGELASSENES CD1200-
TRACKB ALL-KABEL
Die Tasten auf Ihrem Trackball funktionieren wie die Tasten auf Ihrer
CDTV-Fembedienung. Benutzen Sie die Kugel in der Mitte der Einheit so, wie
Sie normalerweise die Pfeiltasten auf der CDTV-Fembedienung verwenden.

Uso
de la unidad de bola
de mando

Retirar el embalaje de la unidad de bola de mando. Retirar la pequeña
tapa en la parte inferior de la unidad de mando, meter las dos baterías como
está indicado, remontar la tapa.

Para activar la unidad de bola de mando se debe pulsar el botón de
encendido ON, situado en la parte derecha del mando. El mando dispone de
un circuito que desactiva el mando automáticamente al no ser usado,
impidiendo así la descarga de las baterías. Para activar nuevamente el
mando, simplemente pulsar el botón ON.
Para conectar una palanca(s) de mando a la unidad de mando, se debe
enchufar el cable de la palanca de mando en uno de los dos puertos JOY
CONTROL 1 & JOY CONTROL 2, situados en la parte frontal de la unidad.
(Ver las instrucciones adjuntas a varios títulos CDTV para más información
sobre el uso de estos puertos de la unidad de bola de mando. Existen títulos
CDTV que no soportan la palanca de mando.) En caso de dudas si utilizar el
puerto 1 ó 2, en primer lugar siempre se debe intentar utilizar el puerto JOY
CONTROL 2. La unidad de bola de mando registra automáticamente la
conexión de palancas de mando en uno de los puertos.

n Si se desea conectar la unidad de bola de mando al lector CDTV a través del
cable suministrado, se debe enchufar simplemente uno de los extremos del cable en
el puerto situado en la parte izquierda de la unidad de bola de mando y el otro
extremo del cable en el puerto situado en la parte posterior del lector CDTV
marcado con este símbolo d i . Una vez conectada la unidad de bola de mando al
lector CDTV a través del cable suministrado, la unidad de bola de mando se
alimentará a través del lector CDTV impidiendo así la descarga de las baterías.
NOTA: SOLO SE DEBE UTILIZAR EL CABLE SUMINISTRADO JUNTO
CON LA UNIDAD DE BOLA DE MANDO O UN CABLE DE UNIDAD DE
BOLA DE MANDO APROPIADO.
Los botones de la unidad de bola de mando funcionan del mismo modo que los
botones del mando a distancia del lector CDTV. La bola en el centro de la unidad
de mando se debe utilizar del mismo modo que las teclas de flecha en el mando
distancia del lector CDTV.
NOTA: El botón de encendido en la unidad de bola de mando funciona del
mismo modo que el botón de encendido en el mando a distancia del lector CDTV.
Si se apaga el lector CDTV a través del botón de encendido de la unidad de bola
del mando, se debe utilizar el botón de encendido de la unidad de bola de mando
para volver a encender el lector CDTV.
