Ameritron PNP-8DI Instructions

AME-PNP-8DI INTERFACE CABLE

THIS CABLE IS TO INTERFACE THE ICOM’S 8 PIN
ACC1 TO THE AMERITRON ARB-704

PNP-8DI

1. Connect the 5 pin end of Plug and Play cable to the multi-port
of the ARB-704.

2. Connect the 8 pin end of the same cable to the ACC 1 jack of
the Icom.

3. Connect a Phono cable from Amp jack of the ARB to Relay of
the amplifier.

4. If using ALC connect a Phono cable from ALC jack of the ARB
to ALC of amplifier.

The power jack of the ARB is not used in this application.
The Radio jack on the ARB is not used in this application.
The jumpers inside the ARB-704 will stay at the factory setting. No

change is to be made.
When the transceiver is placed into transmit, the light on the ARB

should illuminate and the Amplifier should go into transmit mode.
