Unpacking: Thank you for purchasing the Fire Bowl™ by American
DJ®. Every Fire Bowl™ has been thoroughly tested and has been shipped in perfect operating condition. Carefully check the shipping carton for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If the carton appears to be damaged, carefully inspect your xture for any damage and be sure all equipment necessary to operate the system has arrived intact. In the case damage has been found or parts are missing, please contact our toll free customer support number for further instructions.
Introduction: The Fire Bowl™ is ready to be hung or set on a flat surface. The Fire Bowl™ produces a unique flame effect. The simulated flame effect is further enhanced by the case design that is designed to look like an ancient torch bowl. This unit may be hung anywhere by the included hanging hardware, without the typical danger of an open flame.

Caution! There are no user serviceable parts inside this unit. Do not
attempt any repairs yourself, doing so will void your manufactures war­ranty. In the unlikely event your unit may require service please contact your nearest American DJ® dealer.
Safety Issues: This unit may blow a fuse if the maximum allotted load of 3 amps is reached. If the fuse needs replacement, always replace the fuse with same exact type that was remove, unless otherwise instructed by an authorized American DJ® service technician. Use of a different type fuse from that which is recommended may cause fire or electric shock and will void the manufactures warranty.

Fire Bowl™ Safety Precautions
Fire Bowl™ Set-Up/Operation
• Be sure that the local power outlet match that of the required voltage for your unit.
• Do not attempt to remove or break off the ground prong from the electrical cord. This prong is used to reduce the risk of electrical shock and re in case of an internal short.
• Do not remove the fan cover under any conditions. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
• Never plug this unit in to a dimmer pack
• Always be sure to mount this unit in an area that will allow proper ventilation. Allow about 6” (15cm) between this device and a wall.
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock or re, do not expose this unit rain or moisture.
• This unit is intended for indoor use only, use of this product outdoors voids all warranties.
• During long periods of non use, disconnect the unit’s main power.
• Always mount this unit in safe and stable matter.
• Power-Cord Protection - Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the fixture.
• Cleaning -The fixture should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer.
• The fixture should be serviced by qualified service personnel when: A. The power cord or the plug has been damaged. B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance. C. The appliance has been exposed to rain or water. D. The fixture does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.
Fire Bowl™ Halogen Lamp War ning
This fixture is fitted with halogen lamps which are highly susceptible to damage if improperly handled. Never touch the lamps with your bare fingers as the oil from your hands will shorten lamp life. Also, never move the fixture until the lamps have had ample time to cool. Remember, lamps are not covered under warranty conditions.
Unit Preparation:
Before beginning initial setup of your Fire Bowl,™ make sure there is no evident damage caused during transportation. In the event that the unit’s housing or cable is damaged, do not plug the unit in and do not attempt to use. Please contact customer support for assistance.
1. Remove all packing materials from the Fire Bowl.™
2. Place the Fire Bowl™ on a at level surface or suspend the unit from the ceiling using the included hanging hardware.
3. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet with a match­ ing power supply.
4. Locate the power switch on the top inner cover of the unit. To turn the unit on, ip the switch to the “I” position.
Lamps:
1. To properly position the lamp the unit must be on. Use an insulated screwdriver to make any adjustment to the lamps position.
2. The amber lamps should be angled to focused on the lower half of the silk drape.
3. Position the blue lamp to shine directly in the center of silk drape.
4. All lamps will eventually fade or fail. Replacements lamps are available from your dealer.
Silk Flame:
Your silk ame has been specially designed and hand cut from ne silk to interact with the airow and lights to create the illusion of a ame. Each silk drape is applied prior to shipment and should be in the correct position. The silk drape has a life of approximately one month when used continuously in a clean environment. Additional silk drapes may be purchased through your dealer (part number Z-FLAMEBOWL/SILK).
