ACCSI – GPS
Ambient Clockit Controller Serial Interface
with GPS antenna (NMEA)
The ACCSI is an active interface connecting directly to the
processor unit of the ACC501.
This package provides a ACCSI with attached Sanav GPS
module for use only with the ACC501.
Prior to connecting or disconnecting the ACCSI
the ACC501 must be turned off.
please note: after exchanging the batteries if the ACC501 was switched off for a longer period,
the GPS module occasionally will not be recognized. Start the ACC501 it no ACCSI
connected, switch off and turn on again with the module connected.
After starting up the ACC501, the Firmware version of the ACCSI is displayed in
Menu: Conf
Command: 4 – System Info
Menu: Conf
Command: 6 – GPS
Default is “GPS module switched off”
press key “1” to toggle the GPS module on or off.
(It is recommended to power the module down when not in use)
After initializing, the module will search for available satellites. For proper reception line of sight is
necessary, best results can be achieved outdoors with no obstruction, labelled side facing upwards.
A minimum of 3 satellites are required to process valid data.
It can take several minutes until satellites are found and displayed in the menu. The PPS (Pulse Per
Second) indicator will altering flash “0” and “1” to indicate that a signal is received.
Now the GPS functions of the ACC501 are fully available, please refer to the manual of the ACC501
to set the UTC offset to GMT corresponding to your location and more in-detail options.
