1. Plug in Echo
Plug the p ower adaptor in to Echo and then i nto an electri cal
socket . You must use the it ems included i n the original E cho
packag e for optimal pe rformance . A blue light rin g will begin to
spin aro und the top. In ab out a minute, th e light ring wil l change
to orang e and Alexa wil l greet you.
2. Download the Alexa App
Downlo ad the Alexa Ap p from the app s tore.
The app h elps you get mor e out of your Echo. I t's where yo u
see an ove rview of your r equests an d manage your con tacts,
lists , news, musi c and settin gs.
You can als o start the s etup proces s from your compu ter
browser.

If the se tup process do es not star t automatica lly,
go to Set tings > Set up a ne w device.
During s etup, you wil l connect your E cho to the Inter net so that
you can ac cess Amazon se rvices. P lease make sure yo u have your
Wi-Fi password.

3. Change your Echo Cover
To remove the c over, unplug the p ower adaptor fr om your
device , and then pres s and hold the but ton on the bot tom of
the devi ce and slide the cov er off.
To put the cove r back on, put th e sleeve on the de vice and
gently t urn it until it s naps into place .

Echo wor ks best when p laced in a centr al location , at least 20
centim etres from any w alls. You can pu t Echo in a varie ty of
places —on a kitch en counter, a side t able in your liv ing room
or a bedsi de table.
