Issue Three short beep signals at the beginning of Auto Cycle

Cause Self-diagnostic test
Action Models ALE \ ALG565*, ALE \ ALG665*, and ALE \ ALG866* Amana dryers may beep three short ½
second signals at the beginning of an Auto Cycle. This will happen if there are wet clothes lying
across the moisture sensor bars at the beginning of the cycle.

This is a self-diagnostic test for the moisture sensor board and the beeping signal indicates the
electronic circuit is functioning correctly. After this test is completed, the dryer will resume the
Auto Cycle that was selected.
