The ALTEC 414-8C12-inch Low-Frequency
Loudspeaker provides optimum performance in
medium-sized enclosures.
A structurally reinforced frame, rigid enough to
permit front or rear mounting, supports a heavy
permanent magnet providing high flux density.
The low-mass voice coil is made from edge-
wound copper ribbon to provide more turns of
wire in the voice-coil gap. Cone suspension pro
vides high compliance for accurate reproduc
tion of low frequencies.
An exceptionally fine-crafted speaker for use in
moderate-sized sound reinforcement and high-
fidelity systems.

following criteria. Frame, structurally reinforced
die-cast aluminum, rigid enough to permit front
or rear mounting. Voice coil, 3" diameter of
edge-wound copper ribbon. Flux density, 9,000
gauss. Magnet weight, 1.8 pounds. Power rating,
50 watts of continuous pink noise. Frequency
response, uniform from 30-4000 Hz. Pressure
