"BI-ACOUSTIC" HORN SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION
The ALTEC 150B "Bi-Acoustic" Horn System is a versatile, two-way speaker system housed in a weatherproof, compact frame. It provides excellent reproduction of speech and music for public address applications, indoors or out doors. The 150B uses a highly efficient trans ducer with two sound paths emanating from
both sides of the diaphragm. Lower frequencies are directed through a long reflex air column
while frequencies above 1000 Hz are directed
through a straight sectoral horn. The sectoral

horn can be positioned in either a horizontal or vertical plane. The housing is heavy, doublereinforced Fiberglas® which eliminates struc tural resonance. A 6-foot, heavy-duty lead passes through a rainproof cable strain relief at the rear of the horn to provide input connections. Use of an ALTEC matching transformer (mounted in
the ALTEC 21256 Weatherproof Transformer
Housing) adapts the horn system for 70V line operation. A mounting bale is supplied with each unit to ease installation.
