enjoyment. All components of the 1218A speaker system are carefully matched:
421A-type (422-8Z) Low-Frequency Musical Instrument Loudspeaker . . . 15" woofer for high efficiency in reproducing bass and mid-bass sounds. 3" edge-wound voice coil, rigid cast aluminum frame, powerful magnet.
8118 High-Frequency Sectoral Horn from 800 Hz to beyond audibility.
807-8Z High-Frequency Driver . . . has an extremely rugged voice coil and diaphragm assembly that handles much more power than conventional drivers. Uniform response from 500 to 20,000 Hz.
N809-8A Dividing Network ... precision two-section crossover network with HF attenua
tion control, 800 Hz crossover and 12 dB/octave slope. Two phone-jack paralleled inputs. A sturdy wooden bass reflex enclosure provides excellent bass and mid-bass reproduction.
The 1218A has a resilient epoxy spatter finish. It is portable and is fitted with a tubular swivel mount, recessed die-cast handles and removable latching front cover. Standard phone jacks for cable connections and a 50-foot cable accessory make handling and setup easy.
