The apartment intercom station(s) shall
be Alpha Communications® /
S.T.R.™ WF32/S. Station(s) shall be
surface mounted. Station(s) shall feature
amplified simplex voice c ommunication.
Stat ions that include c arbon transmit ter
or other voice technologies shall not be
acceptable. St ation(s) shall have a
textured finish to minimize scratches.
Stat ion(s) shall include a Door release
(KEY SYMBOL) button and Talk/Listen
(SPEAKER) push button. Stat ion(s) shall
include an adjustable volume AC buzzer
for signalling from t he lobby entry panel.
Stat ion(s) shall also allow a tone signal to
sound upon act ivation of any
individual (optional) apartment door
buttons. Station(s) shall mount direct ly to
the finished wall surface or over a single
gang elect rical (gem) box or plaster ring.

Contractor shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building c odes.

The Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ WF32/S apartment intercom stations are designed
with a single (oversized) T alk/Listen button to simplify operation, and t o eliminate switc hing
back and forth between separat e T alk and Listen buttons. When c alled, the tenant simply
presses the butt on to Talk and releases t o Listen. The Listen mode will time-out
automatically in approximat ely 20 sec onds, or immediately upon ac tivation of t he Door
release push-button.

These attractive stations easily surface mount right onto the finished wall or over a single
gang flush elect rical (gem) box (or plaster ring). Stat ions can be c hanged to desk mount
with the addition of a model TZWFWH desk adapter.

All WF32/S stat ions feat ure textured finish (to minimize scratc hes and fingerprints), electric
buzzer signalling (adjustable), elect ronic tone signaling for individual apt. door c all buttons
and (2) two momentary button switches. T he button with the speaker symbol is used for
Talk/Listen operation and the butt on with the key symbol is used for electric door release.
