The visual Staff Station(s) shall be Alpha Communications®
AlphaLinQ™ 100 series model VSS110, or approved equal and shall
shall include an integral "CALL-PLACED" LED indicator, a "CALL"
button, and a "CANCEL" button. A call will be registered at the
annunciator panel, a corridor zone light (if installed), and the
stat ion's CALL-PLACED" LED. All electronic components needed for
these feat ures shall be mounted on a printed circuit board and all
stat ion components shall be mounted an a rugged ABS plastic
fac eplate. The stat ion(s) shall be installed in a single gang ring
with square box. Plug-in connect ors shall be provided for
connections. The VSS110 shall be UL® 1069 Listed to the latest
standards.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® VSS110 visual Staff Stat ion
incorporates push button operation of c all and canc el func tions. A
call is registered at the annunciator panel and on a corridor light or
corridor zone light (if installed) when the call switc h with integral
"CALL PLACED" LED is pushed. The "CALL PLACED" LED is also
illuminated. Calls are cancelled simply by depressing the "CANCEL"
button mounted on a rugged ABS plastic fac eplate. The "CALL
PLACED" LED will also be extinguished.

The VSS110 is used primarily with the AlphaLinQ™ 100 series
visual nurse-call system, but c an be used and is backwards
compatible with some older systems as well. The VSS110 is U.L.
1069 listed, to t he latest standards.
