Architects' And Engineers' SpecificationsArchitects' And Engineers' Specifications

The single visual Patient Station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® AlphaLinQ™ 100 series model VPS101, or
approved equal and shall include a lighted 'CALL-PLACED' indicat or,
a 'CANCEL' button, and a jac k for the required model SF301/8
(single) c all-c ords or model SF302 (double) call-c ords (or other
specialty type c ords as required). A call will be registered at
the annunciator panel(s), c orridor light(s) and any opt ional corridor
zone lights. The station's 'CALL PLACED' LED will light if the call
switc h is pushed or of the c all-c ord is removed from its jack. All
elect ronic c omponents needed for these features and functions
shall be mounted on a printed c ircuit board and all st ation
components shall be mounted on a rugged ABS (White) plastic
fac eplate. The stat ion shall be mounted into a standard single
gang elect rical box (or ring). A plug-in c onnector shall be provided
for connect ions. The VPS101 shall be U.L. listed 1069 to the latest
standards.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® VPS101 single visual Patient
Stat ion includes a jac k for the insertion of a required model

SF301/8 (single) or SF302 (dual) call cord set (or equivalent). A

call is registered at the annunciator panel and c orridor light (and
corridor zone light if installed) when the call cord button is used, or
if the call c ord is accidentally removed from the jac k. The station
includes a lighted 'CALL-PLACED' indicator when a c all is placed
and a 'CANCEL' button, mounted on a rugged ABS white plastic
fac eplate.

The VPS101 is used primarily with the AlphaLinQ™ 100 series
visual nurse-call system, but c an be used and is backwards
compat ible with some older syst ems as well. The VPS101 is U.L.
1069 listed, to t he latest standards.
