The multi-entrance audio adapter(s) shall be
Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T .R.™ model

TU1007A, or approved equal. Unit(s) shall

provide the c ontrol and power c ircuits needed to
switc h the audio and door release functions, to
the c alling entrance stat ion. Unit(s) shall be
used in addition to standard syst em amplifier.
Low voltage wiring shall be used and positive
screw terminals shall be provided for installation
wiring. The TU1007A unit(s) shall be installed
adjacent to the intercom (or video-intercom)
amplifier.

Contractor shall observe all local and national
elect rical and building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T .R.™ TU1007A multi-entrance audio adapters are
used with our S.T .R.™ series intercom and video-intercom amplifiers only. They
provide audio intercom and door release switching for two (2) t o eight (8) entrances
(or more). They can be used with the NH200A, NH201TT, NH201TVA, NH201TVA- 2
series apartment intercoms as well as t he VCU6 and VCU6-2 series video­intercom amplifier/power supplies. T hey c annot be used with the NH209TT series 2­wire systems, which can only have one (1) building entrance panel. T hey can also be
used with t he NH208TVU series amplifiers for the HT2006 series handset stations.

The TU1007A adapters are used in addition to the syst em amplifier, and power off of
the same transformer. No additional transformer is needed. When used on a video­intercom system, use must also use the model DPS-2 video switc hing adapter(s).

You need (1) DPS-2 for each T U1007A adapter being used. You must use one (1)

TU1007A switching adapter for (2) building entrances, use two (2) for (3-4) building

entrances, use three (3) for (5-6) building entrances and use four (4) for (7-

8) building entrances.

The TU1007A multi-entrance adapters are designed to easily surface mount right
onto t he finished wall by means of customer supplied screws or the convenient
plastic 'Din Rail' bracket supplied with each power supply. Connections are
positive sc rew t erminal type.
