For those times when it's impractical, for various
reasons , to mount the inside c ontrol sec tion of a

communicator into a window, the TTU-7-X is t he
communication system of choice. The prism shaped
control unit of the TTU-7-X is ideal for mounting on a
counter top on the interior side of a barrier. The system
a l l o w s hands free communications through barriers
typically found in banks, cashier's booths, ticket windows,
information booths and similar environments.

T h e TTU-7-X incorporates the same high-quality
electronics as the basic Alpha Communications® / Norcon

patent ed model T TU-1A-X Talk-Thru system. It is a vox
system, enabling the att endant and the c ustomer to have
hands free two way c ommunicat ion.

T h e TTU-7-X provides clear communication even in
environments with high ambient noise by shaping the

sound for maximum intelligibility. Its compression circuitry
decreases loud, annoying sounds.

Talk-Thru systems are shipped complete with
mounting hardware, instructions, and power supply (AC

operated unit), or charger (batt ery operated unit).

T h e T TU-7-X Talk-Thru Communicator now inc orporates
circ uitry to automatically attenuate the outside c hannel.
If the gooseneck microphone is not used for a period of
3 0 seconds, the outside channel volume will be
reduced approximately 70%. Normal operation is restored
as soon as the attendant speaks into t he gooseneck
microphone.

The automatic volume attenuation circuit prevents
outside noise from bothering the attendant. The TTU-

7-X is equipped with a Jack to add a compatible headset

or wireless microphone. Simply plug the headset in and
communicate. The headset contains light
weight c onstruction, a boom mic and a single speaker that
covers one ear.

Installation of the TTU-7-X is a very simple, one­person operation. All that's needed is a 3 to 4 inch
cutout in the barrier. All hardware and cable are
supplied. Please specify barrier thickness when
ordering. The prism unit is quickly and easily mounted
on the counter-top on the inside of the barrier, at a
convenient location for the user. A power adapter and
all cables are supplied.

The TTU-7-X is s upplied with a continuous-duty, 117­Volt power supply which is stepped down to 15 Volts.
An optional model# 220V-OPTION-N power pack is
available for 220VAC primary power applications.

Same as TT U-7-X model except it has a rec hargeable
batt ery pac k so the wiring will not be seen when in use
