For those times when it's impractical, for various reasons,
to mount the inside control sec tion of a c ommunicat or into
a window, t he TTU-7-X is the c ommunication system of c hoice.
The prism shaped c ontrol unit of the TT U-7-X is ideal for mounting
on a c ounter t op on t he interior side of a barrier. The system
allows hands free c ommunications t hrough barriers typically found
in banks, c ashier's booths, ticket windows, information booths and
similar environments.

How It WorksHow It Works

The TT U-7-X incorporates the same high-quality electronics
as the basic Alpha Communic at ions® / Norcon patented model

TT U-1A- X Talk-Thru syst em. It is a vox system, enabling the

att endant and the c ust omer to have hands free two way
communicat ion.

The TT U-7-X provides clear communication even in
environments with high ambient noise by shaping the sound for
maximum intelligibility. Its c ompression circuitry decreases loud,
annoying sounds.

How To InstallHow To Install

Installation of the TTU-7-X is a very simple, one-person operation.
All that's needed is a 3 to 4 inch c utout in the barrier. All hardware
and cable are supplied. Please specify barrier thickness when
ordering. The prism unit is quickly and easily mounted on the
counter-top on the inside of the barrier, at a c onvenient location
for the user. A power adapt er and all cables are supplied.

The TT U-7-X is supplied with a c ontinuous-duty, 117-Volt power
supply which is stepped down t o 15 Volts. An optional model#

220V-OPTION-N power pac k is available for 220VAC primary power

applications.

Talk-T hru systems are shipped complete with mounting hardware,
instructions, and power supply (AC operated unit), or c harger
(batt ery operated unit).

The TT U-7-X Talk-Thru Communicator now incorporates c ircuitry
to automatically att enuate the outside c hannel. If the goosenec k
mic rophone is not used for a period of 30 sec onds, the out side
channel volume will be reduced approximately 70%. Normal
operation is restored as soon as the attendant speaks into the
gooseneck microphone.

The automatic volume at tenuation circuit prevents outside noise
from bothering the at tendant. T he TTU-7-X is equipped with a
Jack to add a compat ible headset or wireless microphone. Simply
plug the headset in and communicate. The headset contains light
weight c onstruction, a boom mic and a single speaker that
covers one ear.
