The intelligent t ranslator(s) shall be Alpha Communications® /
S.T.R.™ QwikBUS™ model TL333, or approved equal. The T L333
shall be built into a rugged high impact ABS plastic c ase, and shall
be used with the assoc iated QwikBUS™ and AlphaEntry™ system
software (v3.0 or later) and hardware.

Low voltage wiring shall be used and positive screw terminal and
plug-in connec tors shall be provided for installation wiring. T he

TL333 shall be mountable right to the surface of the wall or in a

cust omer supplied junct ion box cabinet. The TL333 shall
be powered by the required model SS12P 12VDC plug-in
power supply unit.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

S.T.R.™ TL333 intelligent t ranslator
is used only with t he

QwikBUS™ series systems for

interfacing to AlphaEntry™ series Mast er Stations or other

AlphaEntry™ system components.

Each TL333 is powered by t he required model SS12P 12VDC plug-in
power supply and connect s t o the 2-wire QwikBUS™ 'bus' wiring by
means of positive sc rew t erminal connect ors. T here is a 9-pin 'Din'
type RS232 (serial) connec tor which connect s t o the serial port of
a PC which is running AlphaEntry™ software (v3.0 or later), or to
the PC's USB connect or by means of a model CA-USBSER or CA-

USBSERV or CA-USBSERV8 serial to USB adapter cable assembly.

The TL333 allows the AlphaEntry™ and QwikBUS™ system
components to 'speak to each other', and to send dat a bet ween
theses syst em components and only one (1) T L333 is required per
system.
