The color video-intercom monitor st ation(s) shall be
Alpha Communicat ions® / Golmar TEKNA series, or approved
equal. Monitor(s) shall be mounted surfac e (or desktop using
optional model SOBPL-PLUS or equivalent adapter). Monitor(s)
shall be connec ted using looped 'common' wires and shall not
require coaxial cabling. Monitor(s) shall include a high quality 3.5"
color LCD screen. Monitors using mirrors or other non-flat
type screens, or coaxial c able shall not be acc ept able. Handset(s)
shall feature elec tret c ondenser microphone for exceptional
voice fidelity. Handsets that include carbon transmitter or other
voice tec hnologies shall not be ac c eptable. Handset shall have a
flexible (and detachable) c oiled cord. Monitor shall include a door
release button with Key symbol, and four (4) auxiliary switches
for feat ures such as brightness/c ontrast, et c. Monitor shall
feature an electronic c hime signal, with a 2nd c hime sound for
optional private door bell signaling. Monitor shall be in st andard
White finish and shall only protrude from the wall 2.20"
inches (56mm).

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical
and building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® / Golmar TEKNA series COLOR
monitors are designed to meet virtually any requirement for video­intercom securit y, while not requiring any riser coaxial cabling, or
any selec tive (home-run) wiring (depending on model#
selected). These att ractive monitors are c onveniently
surface mounted right on t he wall. Monitors c an be changed t o
desk mount with t he addition of an optional model SOBPL-PLUS
desk adapter.

All TEKNA series monitors feat ure a c rystal clear 3.5" color LCD flat
screen monitor (measured diagonally), electronic c hime signaling,
flexible coiled cord and one (1) momentary door release button
switc h (with key symbol), and four (4) switches for additional
funct ions.
