The central exchange/syst em shall be Alpha Communications® /
Ring RM5000CX series or approved equivalent. System shall have a
maximum capacity of 6 tot al master and/or remote stations.
System shall have three (3) conversation paths (links),
permitting up to t hree (3) simultaneous c onversations. The

RM5000CX central exchange (if less t han 66 station capacity) c an

be field upgraded with the addition of subsc riber card(s).

The RM5000CX system shall require simple 2 twisted pair home-run
wiring from the central exchange to eac h master and/or remote
stat ion, and shall feature all-call, group call, privacy, direct dialing,
conference, camp-on busy, hurry-up, call-back, c all-forwarding,
batt ery bac k-up and manual simplex override at t he master
stat ion(s).

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

Microprocessor Intercom System The RM5000CX is a fully
elect ronic, microprocessor c ontrolled system, which fully sat isfies
the requirements for a modern and effec t ive internal
communicat ion syst em. T he RM5000CX syst em is modular in
concept and the central exchange c an be expanded up to a
maximum of 6 t otal stat ions (masters and/or remotes). T he c entral
exchange has 3 conversation paths (links), permitting up to three
(3) simultaneous conversations as well as program distribution
channel, all-c all and 7 group calls.

The RM5000CX consists of a metal enc losure with bat tery charger,
sealed batteries, bat tery switc h, processor card and one or more
subscriber cards.

A variety of master and remote stations is available to
meet virtually any system need.
