The AlphaRefuge™ 2400 Series system
Refuge Call Box(es) shall be Alpha
Communications® RCB2400S, or approved
equal.
The RCB2400S Refuge Call Box(es) shall
be Surface Mount t ype and shall be
finished in #16AWG Brushed Stainless
Steel with a matching surface backbox /
housing. The RCB2400S Refuge Call
Box(es) shall contain a built-in heavyduty metal c all button and Red c all placed
/ call answered LED.
The RCB2400S Refuge Call Box(es) shall
have power AND battery back-up power
provided by the PWRAPC or PWRAPC112
(depending on system capacity) central
power supply and batt ery bac k-up unit.
The Refuge Call Box(es), shall be IBC,
NFPA and ADAAG c ode c ompliant.
Contract or shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.
RCB2400S Refuge Call Box (AlphaRefuge™ 2400 Series)
The Alpha Communicat ions® RCB2400S Refuge Call Boxes are used with the AlphaRefuge™
2400 Series Area of Refuge syst em, and are Surface Mount type.
The PWRAPC or PWRAPC112 (depending on system capac ity) power supply unit can provide
power and battery bac k-up for the RCB2400S Refuge Call Boxes.
The RCB2400S Refuge Call Boxes come st andard with a built-in heavy-duty metal call
button,and are available with an optional mushroom head c all button (add Suffix- M).
The RCB2400S Refuge Call Boxes come st andard with a built-in Red c all plac ed / c all
answered LED.
Only one (1) PWRAPC or PWRAPC112 power supply is needed per system.
