SpecificationsSpecifications
The on-site paging system transmitter/control unit shall be Alpha Communicat ions® / TekTone
NC365B, or approved equal. It shall be
specifically configured to receive patient calls from Alpha Communicat ions®'s NC300 (or
NC300II) Nurse Call Systems or TC500
Emergency-Call Systems, at a baud rate of 9600. When used in c onjunction with any system it shall transmit patient call information, via radio UHF of 457.55 MHz, to the Alpha Communications® NC397A Alphanumeric Pocket Pager(s), at a baud rate of 1200. Information such as c all type, room loc ation, and priority level, shall be as indicated by t he NC350CP CPE (software rev. 1.93.1 or higher) or NC351 /
NC351A / NC351A/2 CPE(s) and shall be
transmitted to pagers in its entirety.
When used with the NC110A / NC110N / NC150N and/or NC200N nurse-c all systems t he NC365B requires the NC377/32 and/or NC377/64 voltage interface adapter(s).
The NC365B on-site paging syst em shall have a transmitting range of up to one mile (depending on results of site survey), and shall be used with the NC397A (or equivalent) pocket pagers.
The NC365B shall be used with the optional model# BA365K battery back up kit .
NC365B Paging System Transmitter/Control UnitNC365B Paging System Transmitter/Control Unit
The NC365B Transmitt er/Control Unit (on-site paging system) receives alphanumeric messages and patient call information via serial interfac e and transmits t he information direct ly to the NC397A pocket pagers. Information is sent to the transmitter at 9600 baud to minimize bott lenecks. Call type and location are determined by the system supplying information to the transmitter. The NC365B Paging System Transmitter/Control Unit is pre-programmed for use with the Alpha Communic at ions® NC300 (or NC300II) nurse-call syst ems, or TC500 emergency- c all systems. T he Unit is designed for on site paging requirements only and not for long range.
The range of the syst em will largely depend on the site and locat ion of the transmitter unit. To determine the exact range and c overage of the transmitter, a site survey must be done. Contact Alpha Communications® for details on site surveys. For estimation purposes of a properly located NC365B, a range of up t o one mile c an be expected (line of sight), under ideal conditions. See the instruct ion manual for additional details. Other antennas and signal amplification options are available to increase range, contac t Alpha Communic at ions®. Battery back-up also available, by using the model# BA365K kit.
