The Alpha Page™ 232 pocket page system, from
Alpha Communicat ions®, is a microprocessor based pocket paging
interface syst em designed to receive messages from nurse call
systems, fire alarm syst ems, acc ess control systems, security
systems, industrial equipment and other systems via RS-232 data.
Data in the following formats may be used: raw ASCII, ANY serial
printer output, T AP/PET , COMP1, COMP2. T he rec eived data is
formatted and immediately sent to one or more poc ket pagers.
Custom formatting is available and custom messages c an be
easily changed by the user at any time.
With Alpha Page™ 232, t here are no monthly service c harges for
paging, since the transmitt er and pagers are c ustomer owned. The
transmitter will send messages up to one mile away (line of sight)
and are sent within 5-10 sec onds from the t ime the call/alarm
occurs. T he system contains a built-in 12 VDC, 1 Amp power
supply. The entire system (including transmitter) may operate
with battery backup by simply adding the optional 12V, 7 Amp hour
rechargeable batt ery. T he system cont ains a built in batt ery
charger.
