The Emergency Push/Pull Shower Stat ions shall be shall be Alpha
Communications® AlphaLinQ™ 100 series model EPS337, or
approved equal. Operation of emergency signals shall be
accomplished by a short pull on the nylon cord or by pulling /
pushing down on t he Red lever marked 'EMERGENCY".

The Red "CALL PLACED" L.E.D. indicator shall flash to assure the
patient that the call has been placed. Switc hing mechanism shall
consist of a reliable DPDT switc h.

The EPS337 is typically used used in wet or damp environments,
such as showers , bath or tub rooms, and features a magnetic
reed switc h and rubber gasket.

All electronic components needed for these feat ures shall be
mounted on a printed circuit board and all station components
shall be mounted an a rugged ABS plastic fac eplate. The station(s)
shall be installed in a single gang ring with square box. Plug-in
connectors shall be provided for connec tions. The EPS337 shall be
UL® 1069 Listed t o the latest standards.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® EPS337 Emergency Push/Pull Shower
Stat ion may be used in any locat ion where ac tivat ion of an
emergency signal is required. All electronic c omponents are
mounted on a circuit board. The EPS337 features a built- in Red
(flashing) LED, and 6 foot nylon pull c ord.

Due t o the flexibility of its design, it may be used as a PULL CORD
EMERGENCY STATION, OR a PUSH TYPE EMERGENCY STATION. The
pull cord supplied may be used for emergency c all act ivation or if
so desired, the LARGE RED push/pull down lever may be used.

The combination of rubber grommet-ted mounting screws,
rubber mounting gasket, and completely sealed front fac eplate
make it SPLASHPROOF (if properly installed). All electronic
components are mounted on a c ircuit board, including an industry
proven reliable reed switc h for circuit initiation. T he
activating magnet is mounted on the large pull-down lever which
is completely sealed.

The EPS337 is used primarily with t he AlphaLinQ™ 100 series
visual nurse-call system, but c an be used and is backwards
compatible with some older systems as well. The EPS337 is U.L.
1069 listed, to t he latest standards.
