Specifications

The paging adapter(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® / S.T.R.™ model DV4, or
approved equal. Amplifier shall operate from a
16VAC (40VA) U.L. Listed transformer (model

T1640). All wiring to adapter shall be low-

voltage Class II wiring, installed as per all
federal, state, and local elec trical c odes. Paging
adapter shall surface mount right t o t he finished
wall and shall be installed in a
suitable environment that is free from excessive
dirt, dust, temperature, humidity, grease and
water. For most secure installation, unit should
be installed into a loc kable equipment cabinet /
housing. Unit shall be installed adjac ent to t he

NH908A or NH208TVU amplifier, a safe distance

from any source of elect rical interference. The

DV4 shall provide 10 watts of audio power,

distributed to four (4) independent zones, and
have an 'ALL-CALL' c apability. Where required,
contract or shall furnish and install a higher
powered public address (PA) amplifier, and all
of t he paging speakers required.

DV4 4-Zone Paging Adapter/Amplifier

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T.R.™ DV4 4-zone paging adapters are used with
the S.T.R.™ HT2006 series handset s when one (1) to four (4) zones of paging is
required. The DV4 has a built-in 10 watt audio amplifier, and can provide t hat power
up to four (4) zones. Eac h zone c an be paged from a different selective button on
the HT2006 handset, and you c an make a 5th butt on an 'ALL- CALL' button, which will
activate all four (4) paging zones simultaneously. T he DV4 has no music- muting
capabilities built-in. If bac kground music that will mut e when a page takes place is
required, you must provide a separate p.a. amplifier/tuner set -up with an amplifier
that has auto-muting capabilities. If more power is required than 10 watt s you c an
feed t he output(s) from the DV4 into one or more higher powered paging amplifiers.

The DV4 operates on 16VAC (40VA) low-voltage Class II wiring. Eac h DV4 requires a
separate Model T1640 (U.L. Listed) plug-in transformer. Do not power from the
same t ransformer that is providing power for the intercom amplifier.

These DV4 paging adapters are designed to easily surface mount right onto t he
finished wall by means of cust omer supplied screws or the c onvenient plastic 'Din
Rail' brac ket supplied with eac h unit. Connections are positive screw terminal type.
The DV4 must be used in addition to the NH908A or NH208TVU interc om amplifier.
