DS16 DIRECT SELECT ANNUNCIA T OR MODULE

The DS16 Direct Select unit is part of the Ring
Communications Crisis Alert System and can be
used with any of the AA master-stations. The
system provides for call annunciation and line­supervision from remote intercoms. The DS16 has
capacity for 15 direct select lines and one
incoming call line for all other calls. Each line has
a push-button for accepting or placing a call to the
preprogrammed intercom station. A four digit LED
display is used to show time of day or the call
number for all non direct select calls. The DS16
may be expanded by adding the DK32 for an
additional 32 direct select buttons (total capacity

48).
The DS16 and DK32 units are compatible with

the standard Ring-Master backboxes which must
be ordered separately:
BBF863(flush), BBS 863(surface) or
BBD905(desk top)

SYSTEM FEATURES:

The DS16 has been designed to work in conjunction with Ring-Master RM5000CA or RM5000EX
centrals and will provide the ability to display calls which may be originated from any Ring-Master
sub-station. Any of the calls displayed may be answered by pressing the key associated with the
call. The call may be parked or canceled by pressing the park or cancel key . The remote control
(door-opener) button may be activated while on a call. Incoming calls will be received at the
DS16 unit with an alert tone and a flashing LED until the call is answered. Each push button has
a tri color LED indicating the status of the call. The DS16 unit provides a contact closure (open
collector) to drive other external devices (I.e. strobes, louder buzzers). The wiring is terminated
in a RJ45 .
