The central equipment c abinet(s) shall be Alpha
Communic at ions® model CEC152. Cabinet(s)
shall be surface mounted and shall be used t o
protect the system amplifier/power supply
unit(s). When used with a U.L. listed nurse-c all
or similar health-c are system, cabinet shall be
U.L. Listed (1069), to the latest revision. In
certain applications, t he system transformer(s)
may also be housed within the CEC152 cabinet.
Cabinet shall be designed to mount the DIN rail
bracket typically supplied with t he AC152 and/or

AC153 control units, as well as t o allow spac e

for the optional BA001 batt eries.

Contractor shall install the c abinet in a suitable
indoor environment, away from any extremes of
temperature, humidity, dirt, noxious gases or
fumes, electrical interference, water, vermin,
etc .

Contractor shall observe all local and national
elect rical and building c odes.

The Alpha Communications® CEC152 is designed to house and protec t syst em
amplifier, power supplies, and transformers from damage due to vandalism, or other
job-site conditions. It is also used to protect t he system wiring splices and
connections from acc idental damage by non-aut horized personnel.

These equipment cabinets surfac e mount right onto t he wall, and have elect rical
knock-outs (KO's) on four (sides) for easy tubing connec tions. A 7 inch (178mm)
long welded piano hinge assures positive door cover opening and closing.

The cabinet cover can be sec ured by t wo (2) security screws (supplied by the
cust omer). For higher security applications, the CEC152 cabinets feature a front
knockout (KO) for an optional lock (t o be supplied by the customer).
The CEC152 is finished in a beige color powder c oated painted finish over heavy-
duty steel.

When used with a U.L. listed nurse-call or similar health-c are system, the CEC152 is
U.L. listed (1069), to the latest revision
