Specifications

The advanced Serial to USB Adapter(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® AlphaEntry™ CA-

USBSERV10 or equivalent.

The CA-USBSERV10 shall be used in c onjunction
with the AlphaEntry™, QwikBUS™ or other PC or
components when a 9-pin 'Din' serial connect or
needs to be used with a USB connec tor on t he
PC.

The CA-USBSERV10 shall be USB1.1,2.0,3.0,
EIA/TIA RS-232 compliant, and shall c ome with a
convenient 3 foot cable. The CA-

USBSERV10 shall be bus powered and shall be

true bidirec tional, plug and play type.

elect rical and building codes.

CA-USBSERV10 Serial to USB Adapter

The Alpha Communicat ions® CA-USBSERV10 AlphaEntry™ Serial to USB Adapters are
designed to be used with a variety of AlphaEntry™, QwikBUS™ and other hardware
components that have a 9-pin 'Din' serial connector and need t o c onnect to a PC's
USB c onnect or, when a serial connect or is not available.

The CA-USBSERV10 devic e provides a simple and easy way to c onnec t Universal
Serial Bus (USB) into Serial port interfaces. With t he advant age of a USB port, users
have the capability to ut ilize t he peripheral with serial port interface in an easy t o
use environment such as plug and play & hot swap func tion(s). This adapter is
designed with a dat a transfer rate of up to 3Mbps.
