Specifications

The video amplifier shall be Alpha
Communications® / S.T.R.™ model VVR, or
approved equal. Video amplifier shall operate
from a 16VAC (40VA) U.L. Listed transformer
(model SS146). All wiring to power supply shall
be low-voltage Class II wiring, installed as per all
federal, state, and local elec trical c odes.

Video amplifier shall surface mount right to
the finished wall and shall be installed in a
suitable environment that is free from excessive
dirt, dust, temperature, humidity, grease and
water. For most secure installation, video
amplifier may be installed into a loc kable
equipment cabinet/housing.

Contract or shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.

VVR Video Amplifier

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T.R.™ VVR video amplifiers are used with the
S.T.R.™ video intercom systems, t o provide video amplification for long c oaxial
wire runs, or where there is a weak video signal.

The VVR units eac h require a 16VAC (40VA) low voltage Class II (model SS146)
transformer for power. Use one (1) plug-in transformer for eac h VVR.

These VVR video amplifiers are designed to easily surface mount right onto t he
finished wall by means of cust omer supplied screws or the c onvenient plastic
'Din Rail' bracket supplied with eac h power supply. Connect ions are positive sc rew
terminal type.
