The External Voice/Data Modem(s) shall be
Alpha Communicat ions® AlphaEntry™ AEMOD8
or equivalent.

The AEMOD8 shall be used in conjunct ion with
the AlphaEntry™ PC master stat ion and shall be
plugged into a USB 2.0 connector on t he PC
master station.

The AEMOD8 shall be bus powered and shall
have an extender cable for easy installation.
The AEMOD8 shall have an RJ11 jack for the
connection of the syst em telephone / telephone
line.

Contractor shall observe all local and national
elect rical and building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® AEMOD8 AlphaEntry™
External Voice/Data Modems are designed to be used
with a variety of AlphaEntry™ PC master stations when
the internal or other modem is not fully c ompatible with
all of the voice and data requirements of the

AlphaEntry™ software. If t he internal or other supplied

modem is compatible with the AlphaEntry™ hardware and soft ware, t he AEMOD8 may
not be required.

The AEMOD8 provides a simple and easy way to c onnect an analog telephone line to
the AlphaEntry™ master st ation, using a plug-in Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface.
The AEMOD8 is powered by t he USB port and requires no additional external power.
